    Flashbacks

    No, this journal has nothing to do with the use of drugs (damn my boring life! :giggle: ).

    I got a strange call from my mother yesterday, someone from my jurassic period (aka high school) was trying to get in touch. It just makes you think back about things that you haven't really been concious of in years. Chime in if something similar has happened to you lately, it's just an odd feeling that should be shared.

    That's the blip of excitement on my radar so far for Feburary but there's always more of the month left for suprises.

    It's been awhile since I've had a similar experience. Nobody from all those years ago trying to get in touch with me, but someone I ran into from junior high. Man, did that bring back memories and feelings best forgotten. I was so not comfortable in my own skin back then, thought I was horrid and ugly, all that teenage self-consciousness. Boy am I glad that's over! :D

    indeed it is :D I almost can't remember anything from 20 years ago...i was 7 years old then, so i guess that period in my life whasn't much impressive stuff going on :P

    :glomp: It put quite a few things in perspective when I looked back at them with a few (well, a lot) of years of experience. Living quite a distance away from where I grew up makes contact with that part of my life a pretty rare occurence (or I'd feel a hell of a lot older, lol).

    We had a friend from high school get killed in Iraq at the beginning off the whole bullshit...it was a chopper accident...but it got a whole bunch of us in touch with eachother. It was almost surreal when we all started sending emails to eachother and the amount of people that came together due to such a horrible event...since then we have lost a couple more...and the emails start flying....
    but better yet...we hear about babies that are being born...moves that class mates have made...I am in touch with people from the 5th grade!!!!!Not daily, but periodically....it is really pretty cool :nod:
